How can you light up fluorescent objects? Where do lighting effects occur? You extract fluorescent dyes from everyday objects like pudding mixes or laundry detergents, where these are used as optical brightening agents. And you find out how certain fluorescent dyes can be made invisible and then visible again.
Fluorescence refers to the phenomenon of certain substances glowing when exposed to UV light. Particular colours glow intensively, while in some instances they appear in a different colour or become visible at all. In this way, you can even illuminate the invisible parts of a treasure map and locate the treasure chest.
