“Pat-a-cake pat-a-cake, baker’s man. Bake me a cake as fast as you can…” This popular nursery rhyme might be one way to bake a cake. But there are also other ways, as you will soon learn in this workshop. Creative improvising is a piece of cake!
“Mug cakes” are small cakes that can be made in a jiffy. Beginning with the ingredients for a classic pound cake, the various components (sugar, flour, etc.) are initially omitted and then substituted with alternative ingredients (syrup, Nutella, etc.). Based on the respective changes, the functions of the individual baking ingredients and their special characteristics are discovered step by step.
