Feeling Eyes
Sometimes round, sometimes oval.
With eyes closed and explored by touch, the bowl feels oval. Viewed through the lens and touched, it appears – depending on the position – round, oval, or elongated.
This difference arises from a perceptual conflict between two senses: vision and touch. The brain gives more weight to vision than to touch. As a result, the bowl feels like what we see. This is how we construct our own reality.
