Coriolis Effect.
The water jets on this carousel are aimed toward the center. Once set in motion, they change direction.
The Coriolis effect becomes visible here – and even perceptible to nearby riders. A surprise for most passengers, as the water jets are deflected against the direction of rotation. The faster the carousel spins, the stronger the deflection.
