Jupiter Pendulum
Moon: sluggish. Jupiter: frantic.
The stronger the gravity, the faster pendulums swing. Their oscillation period does not depend on their mass but on the gravitational acceleration. On the Moon, this acceleration is only one-sixth of that on Earth.
When the iron pendulum swings above a magnetic coil, it is possible to simulate gravitational accelerations like those on other planets. For instance, on Jupiter, where gravity is 2.64 times stronger than on Earth.
