Spider Sundial
Swiss Timing with Swiss flag.
The drawing on the ground looks like a spider’s web, but it accurately shows the time for each date of the year. The advantage of this clock: its hand (the flagpole) never needs to be moved.
The shadow of the flagpole indicates the True Local Time (TLT), which is the natural time for living beings. Central European Time (CET), which our watches display, is an artificial convention based on the division of the Earth into time zones.
❄️ Technorama Outdoors: Exhibits in the outdoor area are not accessible during the winter months.
