Real-Virtual, Virtual-Real
Image and/or reflection.
In a bulging glass vessel illuminated from below, a small object hangs. Or are there two?
The glass body behaves like a concave mirror and produces a real, inverted image of the “material” object.
Real image: a reproduction of an object that truly exists in space. Real images are always inverted.
Virtual image: does not exist in space. For instance, a mirror reflection is a virtual image.
