Digital Sundial
"Digital" sundial.
It casts no shadow. Instead, it displays the time using illuminated numbers—without any electronics.
A combination of aesthetics and precision: the slit, aligned parallel to the Earth's axis, projects a strip of light onto the cylinder. In one hour, this strip moves across an angle of 15° (360° ÷ 24h = 15°). Inside the cylinder, the hour numbers are positioned at these angles, allowing the local time to be read on the ground.
❄️ Technorama Outdoors: Exhibits in the outdoor area are not accessible during the winter months.
