What does the water pumped up from the last two pumps of the water feature do? It combines to drive a mill wheel and then to fill the grooved ball, which could be christened a toothed ball in analogy to the gear wheel. For under the water, a wind rose made of paired toothed racks is laid, in which the grooves engage and allow the ball to roll safely back to the centre after it has been tilted and poured out. Inside, an insert with an eccentric reservoir ensures that the sphere becomes visibly overweight during filling and empties as it tilts. As a result, the rotatably mounted insert also gets the excess weight and continues to rotate when the toothed ball is raised. So now the eccentric reservoir is located elsewhere, fills up with water and when it is overweight, the tilting movement now takes place there and so on.
