Catching a fish with bare hands? A tricky task. Why? Where exactly is it swimming? Due to the refraction of light rays – when transitioning from water to air – objects are not where we think they are.
Here, a container is filled with water. Viewed from above, it appears as large, and therefore as deep, as the container next to it. However, the latter is noticeably shallower – and contains no water.
